The Mechanical Engineering Department no longer requires the Graduate Records Examination (GRE) for students applying for admission. Leaving the GRE portion of your application blank will not impact your likelihood of being admitted to the program.
The information below does not apply to admissions after Fall 2020.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering requires that all applicants take the GRE general test. For scheduling information, see ETS.
We require the following minimum GRE scores. Test scores should be sent electronically to UW institution code 4854.
